Punjab Police Chief Says His Next Field Police Crime Meetings Will Review PSRMS based Statistics

The plaintiffs will be able to download a copy of First Information Report through a system by sitting at homes instead of visiting police stations

LAHORE MIRROR REPORT– Punjab police chief Inspector General Amjad Javed Saleemi says he will hold next crime meetings in accordance with the statistics of Police Station Record Management System (PSRMS).

PSRMS does have registered information about crimes and proclaimed offenders of each police station in the province.

“It will help out for knowing the real situation regarding crimes and arrest of proclaimed offenders in every district so that crime may be controlled in a better way,” he said while addressing the monthly video-link conference of nine Regional Police Officers (RPOs) at the Central Police Office on Monday.

To stop mobile theft and it’s related other criminal activities, Lahore police have initiated E_Gadget App and it has been decided to train two officers from each district so that this App may be activated across the province, Saleemi told the conference.

All RPOs attended this conference via video link whereas DIG Information Technology Zulfiqar Hameed, DIG Discipline & Inspection Ahsan Yonus, DIG Investigation Lahore Inaam Waheed and SP Crimes Record Office Lahore Ahsan Saif Ullah along with other officers attended this conference.

It was decided in the conference the plaintiffs will be able to download a copy of FIR through a system by sitting at homes instead of visiting police stations.

In addition to it, the process of digitization of all systems regarding saving retired officers from any delay in their pensions and to make sure their retirement in a honorable way is underway speedily.

By the help of this system, officers and officials will not only be able to calculate their sum of pension on calculator but also their information regarding pay fixation and change form in case of transfer will also be registered through an automatic system and this process will be completed before three months of retirement.

All RPOs and DPOs have been bound to examine the record of retired officials on monthly basis and execute all their cases under their supervision. It has been decided to train all accountants of all provinces in police training College Lahore so that they may complete matters of pay and pension through this system.

Cases of recruitment of offspring of martyrs have also been examined in details and IG Punjab directed all DPOs and RPOs to submit a detailed report regarding pending cases within one week in this regard so that they may be timely settled and families of martyrs may be provided relief.

Moreover, it has also been decided to digitize all development projects of Police by Police Development Management System (PPDMS). By this, not only funds but also development schemes, new schemes, their speed of construction including pictures and other information will be monitored through a system.

Furthermore, the process of internal accountability has been beefed up as the IG Punjab issued directions to all field officers to keep strict eye on such black sheep in their concerned divisions and districts.

“Keep observing them constantly so that timely justice and elimination of crimes should be ensured,” Saleemi told his subordinates.-PRESS RELEASE
