In this regard, a notification was issued by the School Education Department of Punjab here on Wednesday.

According to the notification, all these heads and deputy heads of schools were appointed on contract basis in BS-17 for the period of five years through the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) in 2016.

The regularisations of all 126 headmasters were made purely on merit basis who had served continuously for the three years on contract basis having satisfactory performance and no inquiry was initiated against them during their service period,  read the notification.

In his message, the provincial minister for school education Dr Murad Raas congratulated to all headmasters and deputy headmasters across Punjab. He maintained that the basic reason for regularization of 126 headmasters were their responsible and satisfactory attitudes towards their duties.
