Public Sector Hospitals in Punjab Will Get 279 Ventilators Soon: Dr Yasmeen
LAHORE– As many 279 ventilators have been procured for the public sector teaching hospitals of Punjab.
This was revealed in high-level meeting held under the chair of provincial Health Minister Dr Yasmeen Rashid at the Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education department regarding distribution of ventilators on Wednesday.
Special Secretary Mian Shakeel, Additional Secretary Dr. Suleman Shahid, Additional Secretary Development Asif Tofail, Technical Advisor Dr. Akhter Rasheed and other officers were present on this occasion.
Dr. Yasmeen Rashid said that procurement of ventilators was stopped due to the failed policies of former corrupt government. She said that procured 279 ventilators would be distributed in different teaching hospitals according to their needs.
Within a week all ventilators would be available in case of any emergency. She said that the corrupt government of N-league made fortune on the name of fake development schemes but PTI government believes for spending people’s money on their welfare and betterment.
She said that all out resources are being utilized for providing maximum relief to the people of Punjab in the health sector. She said that the special secretary will finalized the list of teaching hospitals in which ventilators will be distributed.— PRESS HANDOUT
