PESD Regularized Services of 17 Rescuer’s Widows

LAHORE– The Punjab Emergency Service Department (PESD) commonly known as Rescue 1122, regularized the services of 17-widow of shaheed and deceased rescuers from their date of appointment in pursuance to the notification issued by the Services & General Administration Department (S&GAD) earlier this year, said the Spokesperson here on Tuesday.

While signing the regularization order of DG PESD Dr. Rizwan Naseer said that rescuers who put their own lives at risk in line to save others. He said that this life-saving Emergency Service looked after and welfare of its staff as the welfare for the families of the shaheed and deceased rescuers was the priority of PESD. The Punjab Emergency Service had given the provision of full salary to all these widows and they decided to carry forward the mission of their spouses to save lives by serving in this life-saving service. “We do respect their devotion for becoming part of this service and also look after their families as their spouses had risked their lives while serving in this service”, he expressed.

According to the details, all 17 females rescuers (widows) belonged to district Bahawalpur, Chiniot, DG Khan, Lahore, Gujrat, Hafizabad, Multan, Murree, Narowal, Sargodha, and ESA.
