ABU DHABI (LAHORE MIRROR) — A Pakistani national has won the Dh15 million grand prize in the latest Big Ticket draw held in Abu Dhabi, with the jackpot estimated at around Rs1.14 billion.
Shaukat Aftab won the top prize in Big Ticket Series 290 with ticket number 245556. The winning number was selected during the live draw by the previous month’s winner, Reynaldo Herboso of the Philippines.
Aftab was informed about the win by telephone shortly after the draw. Initially finding the news difficult to believe, he later watched the live draw on YouTube and confirmed that his ticket had been selected.
Expressing his reaction after confirming the result, Aftab said he was grateful and extremely happy about the unexpected win.
The latest draw also produced several other major winners.
Indian expatriate Ravindranathan Vinesh, who lives in Dubai, won a Land Rover Defender in the Dream Car segment with ticket number 035787.
Five participants won Dh100,000 each. They were Sandeepkumar Nanera of India; Mohammed Rafiquil Islam Ahmed Meah Talukder of Bangladesh, who resides in Dubai; Mullapulli Praveen Babu of India, based in Sharjah; Suresh Kumar of India, living in Dubai; and Shiblin Sarfaz of India, also based in Dubai.
The Big Spin segment featured three additional cash prizes. Filipino national Jinkie Sandoval, who lives in Dubai, won Dh50,000, while Bangladeshi national Mohammed Kamal Hossan, residing in Oman, received Dh500,000. An Indian national living in Sharjah won Dh150,000.
The promotion’s next Big Spin participants include Bangladesh’s MD Nasir Uddin, residing in Saudi Arabia, India’s Arun Kumar Yada Bhagelu Yadav, based in Dubai, and Egypt’s Taha Ahmed, also living in Dubai.
With Series 290 now concluded, Big Ticket has announced a new promotion featuring a Dh20 million grand prize.
Participants will also have opportunities to win luxury vehicles, including a Nissan Patrol in the October 3 draw and a Range Rover Velar in the November 3 draw.
