LAHORE– The Anti-Corruption Establishment Punjab has launched a grand operation against land grabbers throughout Punjab. During the last one week ACE has retrieved 1,150 kanal government land worth of Rs. one billion and 50 Crore from land grabbers.
This operation is going on in the light of the directions of Director General ACE Punjab Muhammad Gohar Nafees who has directed all regional and headquarter Officers to take action against land grabbers without any discrimination, throughout Punjab.
He has also directed his officers to adopt zero tolerance policy against corrupt elements and to take immediate steps to remove the illegal occupation from the state land.
In the light of above said directions, all regions of ACE has launched a grand operation against land grabbers in all regions of Punjab. During this operation, ACE Lahore Region B has retrieved 248 kanal government land worth of Rs.one Crore and 60 Lacs in three different Mozas of Lahore named Dala Wahga, Patiala, Adhean from the land grabbers.
During operation in main Bazar Mitha Tawana district khushab Sargodha region 4 kanal 2 Marla’s land valuing one crore 50 lacs has been retrieved in another operation 8 commercial shops situated at main jail road Sargodha has also been retrieved in Sahiwal 68 kanal land valuing 5 crore 85 lac in Multan 647 kanal land worth of RS 20 crore 24 lacs in Faisalabad 101 kanal Land valuing one Billion 11 crore in Gujranwala 85 kanal 17 Marlas land valuing 5 cror 36 lacs has been retrieved from land grabbers.
During another operation conducted by ACE Lahore Region A in collaboration with District administration in Subhan Garden Moza Harbunspura, Lahore government land valuing millions of Rupees has been retrieved from land grabbers and 19 land grabbers has also been arrested at the spot during the operation ACE takes action throughout Punjab with collaboration of District administrations and police۔ and after successful operations the retrieved land has been handed over to concerned departments. — HANDOUT
