LAHORE– The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) team raided the residence of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly Hamza Shehbaz Sharif’s residence in Lahore to arrest his son Hamza Shehbaz.
The NAB team comprising seven to eight members conducted raid at 96-H residence of Hamza Shehbaz to arrest him.
NAB team is being denied and resisted to arrest Hamza Shehbaz despite showing arrest warrants to Shehbaz Sharif and Hamza Shehbaz, who are present at the 96 H residence in model town.
Talking to ARY News, PML-N Punjab Spokesman Malik Muhammad Ahmed said, “NAB personnel came to search the house without any warrant.”
PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb speaking to ARY News said a 7-8 member team conducted the raid without any warning at the residence.
“Under which law was this raid conducted without any prior notice.”
The PML-N spokesperson stressed that NAB was unable to prove any sort of corruption.
According to the NAB officials, Chairman NAB Justice (retired) Javed Iqbal has issued arrest warrants of Shehbaz Sharif.
They added that the raid is being conducted to arrest Hamza Shehbaz in the assets beyond means case, while he is also facing Ashiana Housing scandal, Ramzan Sugar Mills .
NAB officials said all legal formalities were completed prior to the raid.
Meanwhile, the NAB team returned without arrest.
