Long Awaited 114 Vacant Regular Posts Filled By LCWU
LAHORE- In line with the Government policy to fill vacant posts ,Lahore College for Women University filled 114 vacant regular posts including Professors, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors, Lecturers, Chief Security Officer and Senior Manager.
These vacancies were vacant for the years due to appointment of permanent Vice Chancellor. Prof. Dr. Bushra Mirza, after her permanent appointment as Vice-Chancellor filled all the vacancies on merit and completed all the steps in a period of 6 months.
In this regard, A ceremony was held at Lahore College for Women University in which offer letter was given to 9 Professors, 1 Tenured Professor, 13 Associate Professors, 16 Associate Professors TTS,17 Assistant Professors including 4 for Jhang Campus, 53 Lecturers including 15 for Jhung Campus, Chief Security Officer for Main Campus of Lahore, Sr. Manager, Chief Equipment Manager and 2 Lab Engineers.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr Bushra Mirza said that for the first time in the history of Lahore College for women University, there has been such a large number of transparent and merit-based recruitment, and I hope that the new Faculty will continue to contribute to the development of the University and will focus exclusively on research so that the University’s ranking can be improved. She said that this time gives us the opportunity to play our role in the development of Pakistan.
At the end of the ceremony, the newly appointed faculty members thanked the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Bushra Mirza, and reaffirmed their commitment that they would play a constructive role in the development of the University and especially Pakistan.– PRESS RELEASE
