He expressed his views while addressing a meeting on the beautification of Shara Faisal on Thursday. Senior Director Coordination Khalid Khan, Director General Works Shabiha Al Hasnain Zaidi, Director General Parks and Horticulture Taha Saleem, Senior Director Media Management Ali Hassan Sajid, Senior Director Estate Imtiaz Abro, Faiz Qadwai, and other officers were also present.
Administrator Karachi Laiq Ahmed said that now after the construction of cities around the world, the process of decorating them is underway and smart cities in the developed world. He said that new styles are being adopted through modern electronic and digital technology so we have to improve Shara Faisal and other important highways of Karachi keeping in view all these things. He said that creative elements should be kept in view in the beautification of Karachi and cooperation should be sought from various institutions in this regard.
Roads and highways in major and commercial cities of the world are also being used to generate revenue but we need commercial. The importance of Karachi has to be highlighted in its cultural background. In this regard, the institutions working in Karachi and the general public must also play their part, said Administrator Karachi.
