Lahore Police Conduct 173 Search Operations, Check 17,754 Persons and 4,198 Houses

LAHORE– Lahore Police Operations Wing has issued the performance report regarding search operations conducted under the National Action Plan to maintain peace and law and order situation in the city.

According to the report, Lahore Police conducted 173 search operations during ongoing month at different places to maintain law and order in the city, where as 17,754 persons, 4,198 houses, 1,400 tenants, 19 hotels, 138 hostels, 02 bus stands, 21 factories and 93 shops were checked.

Police took action against 150 accused persons, registering 03 FIRs in narcotics, 02 in illegal weapon, 62 in Tenant Acts, 83 accused were arrested in other crimes.

DIG Operations Lahore Ashfaq Khan has said that Search and Sweep Operations play a key role to maintain law and order in the city and to foil nefarious designs of the enemy of the country. There is a dire need to remain highly alert in wake of the present border situation.

Ashfaq Khan further said that Lahore Police conducts search and sweep operations on regular basis in different areas of the city in consultation and coordination with security agencies and related departments.— PRESS RELEASE
