Lahore Police Chief Orders Zero Tolerance Against Corruption, Organized Crimes

LAHORE– Capital City Police Officer Lahore Additional IG Ghulam Mahmood Dogar has directed the senior officers of Lahore Police to ensure zero tolerance against corruption and organized crimes in the city, also to maintain updated lists of proclaimed offenders as well as court absconders within seven days.

Dogar further directed police officers to complete all the record of police stations within three days as well as make beat system functional at police stations within five days along with completion of beat books.

He was presiding over a high level meeting on Wednesday at conference room of CCPO Lahore office to review the overall law and order situation as well as measures taken to control crime.

DIG Investigation Shariq Jamal, DIG Operations Captain (retired) Sohail Choudhry, DIG Security Mehboob Rasheed, SSsP of Operations and Investigation wings along with all divisional SsP attended the meeting.

The CCPO Lahore ordered the concerned officers to initiate special campaign and a grand operation against law breakers including land grabbers, goons, proclaimed offenders, illegal weapons, drug dealers, gamblers and brothel houses.

Dogar ordered to do investigation of the cases on merit to ensure provision of justice to the victims and convictions of the accused persons. He directed to beef up the security of the city particularly of vulnerable establishments and sensitive places in wake of present borders situation.

The meeting was informed that snap checking, search and sweep operations, geo-tagging and biometric verification are being conduct on regular basis. CCPO Lahore directed officers to ensure registration of tenants, private employees and passengers through different digital police software\ and applications including Hotel Eye, Travel Eye, e police gadgets and other technologies.

He directed all divisional SsP to personally monitor all checking and security mechanisms as well as arrangements at police pickets and check posts at entry and exit points of the city.— PRESS RELEASE
