Speaking to a British broadcaster, Surtal Academy founder Ziaul Haq said the video had been recorded the previous week. He added that the academy’s children had previously attracted attention after performing at a Pakistan Super League (PSL) event.
Gamborg is a member of the Norwegian hip-hop dance group Quick Style, founded in 2006 by Pakistani-origin brothers Suleman Malik and Bilal Malik, alongside their Norwegian-Thai friend Nasir Sirikhan. The group enjoys popularity in both Pakistan and India.
Quick Style gained widespread international attention in 2022 when a dance performance to the Bollywood hit Kala Chashma at Suleman Malik’s wedding went viral. The video was widely viewed in Pakistan, India and beyond, with its dance moves subsequently imitated at weddings around the world.
