Khidmat Marakiz Facilitate Thousands of Applicants Under One Roof: CCPO Dogar

LAHORE– Lahore Police are providing welfare oriented services to the citizens along with eradication of crime from society.

On the directions of Capital City Police Officer Lahore Lahore Ghulam Mahmood Dogar, citizens are being provided 14 police related services including the facilities of character and verification certificates.

Khidmat Marakiz of Lahore Police issued as many as 4,552 certificates to the citizens during the month of January. Accordingly, as many as 2,110 character whereas 2,442 verification certificates were issued during the month of January 2021.

As many as 213 tenants were enrolled in different police stations under Tennant Registration Act whereas a total of 193 lost reports were registered and 13126 learners permits,1590 renewal and 84 International liscenses were issued through these Police Facilitation Centers. There are 18 Driving License Booths and 03 Testing Centers providing facilities to the citizens, spokesman CCPO Office said.

Lahore Police is providing these services at DIG Operations Lahore office, Facilitation Centers of Gulberg, Iqbal Town, Greater Iqbal Park, Town Hall, Arfa Karim, Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Bahria Town and also at one Mobile Police Khidmat Center.

CCPO Lahore Ghulam Mahmood Dogar said that citizens are being provided 14 services including Police Character Certificate, Verification and registration of employees and tenants, renewal of driving license under One Roof at these Khidmat Centers.

These verification and Character certificates are issued to the overseas Pakistani citizens belonging to Lahore city and citizens for job purposes also, he concluded.

Police crackdown against narcotics is in full swing: CCPO

Capital City Police Officer Lahore Ghulam Mahmood Dogar has said that intelligence based high level police crackdown against drug peddlers and suppliers has been started after successful indiscriminate action against land grabbers, goons and their supporters to protect citizens from these anti peace elements of society.

He stated this during a meeting attended by senior officers of Lahore Police.

Ghulam Mahmood Dogar said that to make Lahore ‘Drug Free City’ it has been decided to initiate intelligence based action in different areas of the city as well as around colleges and universities, in collaboration and consultation of Anti Narcotics Force, district government and other related departments. CCPO Lahore said all divisional SPs and related officers have been directed to submit comprehensive reports regarding action being taken against drug peddlers to his office on daily basis.

Ghulam Mahmood Dogar said the only solution to free Lahore from narcotics is to cut its supply line and strict action again main drug dealers and suppliers. He directed police officers to conduct strict monitoring as well as surveillance and effective patrolling around colleges and universities to arrest drug peddlers involved in selling narcotics to the students.

CCPO Lahore further ordered concerned police officers to take action against drug dealers who supply injections and drugs to addicts, also do not let addicts gather on green belts, pedestrian bridges and Under Passes of Canal Road. Ghulam Mahmood Dogar said Gambling Dens are the main cause of underworld crimes in the city which should be uprooted at any cost.

According to the spokesman CCPO Lahore, police arrested as many as 725 drug peddlers and registered 721 cases in different police stations, recoviering huge quantity of drugs from the accused criminals.— PRESS RELEASE
