ISLAMABAD– Islamabad police Wednesday arrested two people said to be the members of an inter- provincial gang and allegedly involved in ice smuggling, recovering 420 gram ice from their possession, a spokesman said.
Special teams acted on the directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar and DIG (Operations) Waqar Uddin Syed to arrest drug pushers involved in drug smuggling.
Khanna Police teams succeeded to bust two members of inter-provincial gang involved in ice smuggling.
They were identified as Karman s/o Malang Khan resident of Mohmand Agency and Haji Gul s/o Mirza Khail resident of Karkhan Jamrud Road Peshawar.
Police team recovered 420 gram ice worth Rs126,000,0 from their possession.
Case has been registered against them and started further investigation.
DIG (Operations) Waqar Ud din Syed has appreciated this overall performance, he said adding it is the prime responsibility of police to curb drug pushing activities and every possible effort would be made to ensure it.
The DIG urged all police officials for professional attitude in policing affairs, saying sluggish attitude would not be tolerated.
