KARACHI: Gold prices declined further in Pakistan on Saturday, with the price of one tola falling by Rs500 to Rs459,936, in line with a decrease in the international market.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 10 grams of gold fell by Rs429 to Rs394,320.
Meanwhile, gold prices in the international market dropped by $5 to $4,375 per ounce.
Gold prices in local bullion markets have witnessed modest fluctuations following the recent decline. International gold prices, movements in the rupee’s value against the US dollar and global economic conditions remain key factors influencing domestic rates.
Consumers and investors are closely monitoring further movements in gold prices, with rates expected to either decline or rise in the next trading session, depending on trends in the international market.
Meanwhile, oil prices have also risen further in international markets amid escalating tensions between Iran and the United States, raising concerns that petrol and diesel prices in Pakistan could also increase.
