‘Free Mobile Medical Delivery Unit To Facilitate Up To 400 Patients Of Far-flung Areas Daily’
Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid inaugurates FMMDU on Bund Road
LAHORE MIRROR REPORT–Punjab Minister for Health Dr. Yasmeen Rashid has said that Free Mobile Medical Delivery Unit (FMMDU) will provide free-of-cost medical facilities to 300 to 400 patients of far-flung areas on daily basis.
This was stated by her while inaugurating FMMDU at Gaushala Bund Road today.
A large number of people of the areas were also present on the occasion. The Minister said that male and female doctors will checkup the patients in FMMDU. Patients could get first aid and all the facilities of general OPD in FMMDU.
Facility of free of cost laboratory tests of diabetes, hepatitis, tuberculosis, typhoid, CBC, complete chemistry, ECG, XRAY, ultrasound and other tests will be available for the patients in FMMDU. CCTV cameras have been installed in FMMDU to monitor the performance of the doctors.
Details of the patient will be entered in EMR system before providing him treatment in the FMMDU. Administrator, male and female medical officers, pharmacists, nurses, ward-boy, X-ray technicians, sweeper and other staff will perform their duties in FMMDU round the clock.
A special pharmacy has been set up in FMMDU for providing free of cost medicines to the patients as well. She said that provision of better healthcare facilities to the people is the top priority of PTI government. She said that the previous government made embezzlement of billions of rupees on the name of mobile health units.
She said that soon 20 FMMDUs will start providing medical facilities to the patients in rural areas. She said that the previous corrupt government did nothing but to deceive the people.
