Do PML-N’s Woes Aggravate As NAB Arrests Ex-Minister Kamran Michael Over Misuse Of Authority
LAHORE MIRROR (Monitoring Desk)– The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Karachi took former Federal Minister for Ports and Shipping Kamran Michael into custody from Lahore on Friday.
The minister allegedly misused his authority by illegally allotting Karachi Port Trust (KPT) plots to favourites contrary to rules.
Michael was appointed as ports and shipping minister in 2013 by the then prime minister, Mian Nawaz Shari, who is currently facing imprisonment.
Michael had also served as Minister for Statistics, in Shahid Khaqan Abbasi’s cabinet from August 2017 to May 2018. .
According to a NAB spokesman, accused Kamran Michael will be presented before an Accountability Court in Karachi on Saturday to obtain physical remand.
