Casa Blanca and Karachi to Be Declared Sister Cities for Mutual Interests: Shalawani

KARACHI–Administrator Karachi Iftikhar Ali Shalawani has said that Morocco’s Casa Blanca and Karachi will be declared sister cities so that the two cities can come closer to each other. He said this while meeting the Honorary Consul General of Morocco Mirza Ishtiaq Baig in his office on Thursday morning who is visiting the Karachi Metropolitan Municipality. ۔ Issues of mutual interest were discussed during the meeting and the Consul General of Morocco also invited Administrator Karachi Iftikhar Ali Shalawani to visit Morocco. He said that the local government of Rabat, Morocco had named a highway in Rabat as Pakistan.

He said that we want Karachi to develop like the beautiful and modern cities of Morocco and Plans should be made for the convenience of the citizens here, Morocco’s cooperation in this regard would be welcomed, he said, adding that Bagh Ibn Qasim is a vast park located on the coast of Karachi where there is a plot for Morocco as well as other countries. On this occasion, the Administrator Karachi also presented a shield and award to the Consul General of Morocco on behalf of the Metropolitan Municipality of Karachi.
