Additional IG PHP Maznoor Sarwar Chairs Meeting, Reviews Performance of Field Officers
LAHORE– Additional Inspector General of Police Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) Manzoor Sarwar chaired meeting of regional SPs on Thursday to review their performance.
He directed the patrolling officials working in the field to make their best efforts to minimize road crime and provide safe and secure passage to commuters round the clock.
Sarwar instructed the PHP officials to reach on the spots of incidents by minimising response time. Zero tolerance policy will be adopted on corruption. If any official found guilty in corruption will be dealt with Iron hands.
He further instructed to enhance awareness campaigns for road users to save the precious lives in accidents.
He said, all supervisory officers are directed to participate with officials in Nakabandi so that they can perform their duties without any stress and elements of man handling could be minimised.
The Additional IG Punjab Highway Patrol also directed regional SSP / PHP to make effective and practical steps for smooth operations of PHP.
The action against negligent drivers will only be taken with physical evidence i.e photograph or video etc.
Whereas impounding of motorcycles will be avoided to facilitate the commuters. The traffic challaning will remain banned to avoid inconvenience for the general public.
