LAHORE MIRROR — A US F-16 fighter jet crashed near the Spangdahlem Air Base in Germany, according to international media reports.
A spokesman for the US airbase confirmed that the aircraft was involved in an accident and that the pilot managed to eject safely.
The pilot sustained injuries and was taken to hospital for medical treatment, the spokesman said.
An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the crash, he added.
According to the British news agency, the incident occurred shortly after 12 F-16 fighter jets had departed from the US airbase in Germany for the Middle East.
