LAHORE MIRROR — The nikah ceremony of Mahnoor Safdar, daughter of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, was held at Jati Umra in Lahore in a private family gathering.
The ceremony was attended by PML-N President Nawaz Sharif, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Hasan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz, along with members of the Sharif family and close relatives.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Punjab Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb were also among those who attended the ceremony.
Mahnoor Safdar married Azaan Jabbar, son of businessman Jabbar Khalid.
Videos from the nikah ceremony have since gone viral on social media. One video shows Mahnoor dressed as a bride, while another shows Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif driving Nawaz Sharif and other family members to the ceremony.
The wedding comes shortly after Maryam Nawaz attended her daughter’s graduation ceremony in London. At the time, the chief minister had expressed her happiness over Mahnoor’s graduation, describing it as a proud and joyful occasion for her and her family.
