ATHENS: Three people were killed in a private helicopter crash shortly after take-off on the Greek island of Sifnos, local authorities said.
The victims of the helicopter crash included the Greek pilot and a newlywed British couple who had travelled to the island for their honeymoon, according to local media reports.

Images circulating on social media appeared to show the wreckage at a mountainous location on the island, with flames and thick smoke rising from the crash site.
Local media reported that the helicopter exploded soon after becoming airborne and was engulfed in flames.
Emergency services were mobilised after the fire was reported, with two firefighters and a fire engine among the first responders to reach the scene.
A further rescue team was later dispatched to Sifnos from the nearby Greek island of Syros.
Authorities said the cause of the crash had not yet been established. An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident is under way.
